National parc Maasduinen
National Park De Maasduinen is unique because the longest river dune belt in the Netherlands is located in the area. These were created by an interplay of water, wind and people over the centuries.
The management of De Maasduinen is done by the Municipality of Bergen, Stichting het Limburgs Landschap, Staatsbosbeheer and private landowners. Together they ensure that the flora and fauna of De Maasduinen is protected and that you can continue to enjoy this unique nature.

We became vegan a year ago and then we started a search for the tastiest plant-based products to serve to our guests.
When the weather is nice, you can enjoy our breakfast outside in the gardens!
You can have breakfast with us daily between 07:00 and 09:00 (Sunday breakfast from 08:00). We would be happy to arrange a desired time with you upon arrival. *Breakfast can be booked optionally

What are you taking a break for? Precisely! To enjoy and relax. Unwind in our fantastic handmade beds. Patrick has put a lot of hours into this to create something completely different for you, our guests. In addition, we have tested many mattresses and found wonderful ones. You do not want to miss this!
In addition to the beds, our other furniture is also handmade. A piece of sustainability at its best!

Hotel Horse
It is also great for your horse to relax in a spacious paddock with natural shelter! Good quality roughage from Venhorst forage is provided. And what it's all about in the end: we border directly on an extensive network of equestrian routes. The Maasduinen are truly a beautiful area to drive. The route network has now been provided with nodes. So plenty to discover!
History.
Villa Angelbeck
In 1919, the spacious country house Angelbeck was built on the then rural Rijksweg between Afferden and Heukelom.
In the thirties there are various plans for the building: agricultural school, official residence for the mayor and relaxation place “… in the spirit as hotel “De Plasmolen””.
However, none of the plans are being implemented and the building has been empty for a long time. This beautiful villa was destroyed by war during the Second World War. The four dilapidated pillars on the Rijksweg mark the former access road to the villa.

Meeting in a quiet, rural environment or renting a group accommodation for your new workshop with horses or perhaps a yoga workshop? At Angelbeeck it is possible! We put our three apartments at your disposal (Apartment the old hay barn up to 14 people, Cottage Bill up to 6 people, Cottage Mimi up to 10 people).

Angelbeeck is a family business in the beautiful Maasduinen nature reserve in Afferden, North Limburg, and the ideal place to enjoy nature. Our apartment "The old barn" has been renovated and offers space for four comfortable guest rooms in a country house style for up to 10 people. There are two triple rooms and two double rooms. Each room has a private bathroom. There is also a large living room with a kitchen. Walk out the door and you will introduce yourself to our beautiful property. A large lawn to sit on and when you go through the back gate you are in the Maasduinen National Park.

Maasduinen room
The Maasduinen room is located in the old hay barn apartment (on the top floor). This is a country-style, quiet room for 2 persons. The room has a private bathroom in the room with a shower, toilet and a sink. There is also a chest of drawers for clothes and a table with TV and chairs. Come and spend a night (or several) in our four-poster bed and be pampered with a good breakfast! In the apartment you can use a common living room and kitchen.

The cottage features a nice living room with equipped kitchen. Two rustically furnished bedrooms with King-size handmade beds where you can look forward to the stars. A luxurious bathroom with underfloor heating, a shower and a sink. And a separate toilet. Open the garden doors open and you can enjoy your own garden with terrace! The cottage overlooks the meadows on Angelbeeck.

Our small family is happy to welcome you to our beautiful paradise. Hostess Romy and host Patrick are present to receive you and answer your questions.
"Hi! I'm Romy, mom of Mia and Bill and wife of Patrick. I take care of email contact and I can be reached by phone for all questions. I also maintain the social media channels, marketing and the website. In addition, you will mainly see me at the reception together with the children. I grew up on Angelbeeck. Not just a house, but my dream house where I live with my family and where I can welcome people and let them enjoy all the beauty that Angelbeeck and of course the Maasduinen National Park has to offer! I love photography and traveling and love going on adventures with my family and being able to share that with other people is of course great!!"
"Hello! I am Patrick, dad of Mia and Bill and Romy's husband. In the evenings I take care of the reception and in the mornings the breakfasts. I am also the baker of Angelbeeck, renovator, cleaner and gardener. 8 years ago I got together embarked on this adventure with my wife to transform Angelbeeck into a wonderful holiday residence for our guests and to this day we are still not ready to realize all our plans I enjoy being able to spend every day at home with my family (in this fantastic part of the Netherlands!) and at the same time being able to use all my creativity in the renovations and the construction of the gardens. And then also to be able to tell that that's my job. Just Super!"
